These terms apply to your use of chachainsurance.com (the “site”), which is run by ChaCha, Inc. (“ChaCha Insurance”, “we” or “us”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Who we are

ChaCha Insurance is an independent insurance agency, not an insurance company. We help you compare coverage from the insurance companies we work with. The insurance company you choose issues your policy and settles claims under it and it pays us a commission when you buy a policy through us.

Information only, not advice

The articles, guides and other content on this site are general information about insurance. They are not legal, tax or financial advice and they are not a recommendation about the coverage that is right for you. Your situation may be different and laws, prices and insurance company rules change. Talk with a licensed agent before you decide and read your policy.

A quote is not coverage

• A quote is an estimate based on the information you give and the insurance company's rates and rules at that time. The insurance company sets the final price, which can change after it reviews your application.
• Asking for a quote or sending us a form, email, text or voicemail, does not start, change or cancel any coverage.
• Nothing is bound and you have no coverage, until an insurance company issues a policy.
• Do not cancel a current policy until you have confirmation that your new policy is in force.

Coverage depends on your policy

Any coverage is subject to the terms, conditions, limits and exclusions of the policy the insurance company issues and to that company's underwriting. Descriptions of coverage on this site are short summaries. If they differ from your policy, your policy controls.

Availability

Not all products, coverages, discounts and insurance companies are available in all states and each insurance company decides who it will cover. We can only help in states where we are licensed and nothing on this site is an offer to sell insurance where we are not.

The information you give us

Please give us information that is accurate, complete and yours to share. Insurance companies price and accept policies based on it. Wrong or missing information can change your price or delay your coverage and it can lead an insurance company to deny a claim or cancel a policy. Do not send another person's details unless you have their permission.

Using the site

You may use the site for your own lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• break any law or anyone else's rights, while using the site,
• send false information or pretend to be someone else,
• use our forms or comments to send spam or advertising or to harass anyone,
• try to get into parts of the site, our systems or our data that are not meant for you or
• upload harmful code or use the site or automated tools in a way that overloads it or interferes with how it works.

Comments you post on our blog appear publicly with the name you give and you are responsible for what you post. By posting, you let us show your comment on the site. We may remove any comment, for example one that is off topic, abusive, unlawful or advertising.

Our content

The site and its content, including text, graphics, illustrations, the ChaCha Insurance name and logo and the site's design, belong to ChaCha, Inc. or to those who license them to us. You may view the site and print or save pages for your own personal use. Do not copy, change, republish or sell our content or use our name or logo, without our written permission.

Links to other websites

The site links to websites we do not run, such as social media pages and maps. We are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices and their own terms apply when you use them.

Disclaimers

We work to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties, express or implied, that the site or its content is complete, accurate, current, free of errors or always available. We may change or remove any part of the site at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where the law of the state you live in requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The new version applies from the date at the top of this page and if you keep using the site after that, you accept it.
